Mikael H. Stahle is a senior associate MLG. He has practiced civil litigation in California’s state and federal courts for the past 26 years, with the past 20 years primarily devoted to class action litigation. He was an associate and senior associate with Arias Ozzello & Gignac LLP from 2004 to 2015; was a partner with Arias Sanguinetti Stahle & Torrijos LLP from 2015 to 2017; and has been a senior associate with Matern Law Group, PC since 2017. During this 20-year period, Mr. Stahle has had primary responsibility for the prosecution and day-to-day litigation on behalf of the plaintiffs in 75-plus class actions, leading to settlements of over $50 million. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1992 with a B.A. in Economics and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1995, where he was a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

Mr. Stahle has prosecuted numerous successful appeals, including Olvera v. El Pollo Loco, Inc. (2009) 173 Cal.App.4th 447 (successful defense against appeal from denial of motion to compel arbitration in wage and hour class action); Santos v. Vitas Healthcare Corp. of California (Cal.App.) 2012 WL 4378175 (successful appeal from denial of class certification and grant of summary judgment in wage and hour class action); and Safeway v. Superior Court (Esparza) (2015) 238 Cal.App.4th 1138 (successful defense against writ petition following certification of class of 220,000 retail workers).
Mr. Stahle is recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer in the area of Class Action & Mass Torts.
