Nora R. Katz is an Associate Attorney dedicated to representing clients in wage and hour cases and individual discrimination/harassment cases.
Her legal path began with an internship at an immigration rights legal nonprofit during college. In law school, she externed for the Honorable Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley in the Northern District of California and was an active member of the Workers’ Rights clinic and the Individual Representation clinic at UC Law San Francisco. Nora clerked for two plaintiff-side employment law firms, gaining valuable experience in wage & hour and individual discrimination/harassment claims.
Driven by a passion for justice, Nora’s niche lies in representing employees seeking relief from unfair employment practices. Her commitment to this cause stems from a family legacy, with both her grandfather and father dedicating their careers to the labor movement. Nora knew early on that she wanted to contribute to workers’ rights and ensure safe and discrimination-free workplaces.
In addition to her professional achievements, including graduating magna cum laude and earning highest honors in law school, Nora’s pride lies in her advocacy for workers during law school through her participation in clinical education. As a law student, she assisted attorneys in providing legal advice to low-wage workers experiencing harassment and discrimination. In the Individual Representation clinic, Nora, alongside a colleague, successfully represented three low-wage workers in wage theft claims, prevailing in all three cases.
Nora is a native of Oakland, California. Outside of work, she enjoys the scenic views of Lake Merritt and explores hiking trails with her puppy, Russell. She also enjoys political podcasts and cooking in her spare time.
Nora’s professional dedication and academic achievements underscore her firm commitment to public service and pursuing justice on behalf of workers. As an Associate Attorney, Nora R. Katz continues to embody these values, advocating passionately for her clients and contributing to the advancement of workers’ rights.
